Around 2822 Regent Mary Astrid Bartec purchased land along the southernmost part of Aeroplane city. It ran what along the waterline of what is now referred to as the Dead River.
Bartec bought the land for her only son and began planting a new garden each year of his birth. He died suddenly at 18. She left the gardens heartbroken with no one to care for it. Rose bushes now run wild. It is a thorny untamed area that has been left almost untouched for hundreds of years.
A raised pathway to the drowning docks passes through it. There is where the city executes capital punishment. 18 Gardens is now synonymous with Capital punishment in Aeroplane City.
